Education
Stemberger's legal background is distinguished. He holds degrees in Political Science/Philosophy (minor) from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate of Law from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served on the Trial Advocacy Board and the Moot Court Board. He has held a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge James Hard of Birmingham, Alabama. In his final year of law school, Stemberger won first place in the first National Moot Court Competition sponsored by Duke University. The competition was judged by former U.S. Solicitor General Kenneth Starr. Because of his skill in legal advocacy, Attorney Stemberger has been inducted into the prestigious legal society, The Order of the Barristers. Stemberger was trained under prominent Florida trial attorneys including Ken Connor and the Billings Cunningham law firm. Today, this Orlando lawyer is a Barrister member of the Central Florida Inns of Court and regularly teaches legal education courses to other lawyers on litigation and discovery strategy.
Qualifications
Mr. Stemberger is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eleventh Cicuit Court of Appeals, Federal Courts of the Middle District of Florida, and every state court in Florida. He is a member of the Orange and Volusia County Bars, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the Christian Legal Society. Mr. Stemberger was also appointed by Florida's Governor to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission in 2000, and has served as Chairman of this panel which interviews and selects judge candidates for appointment.
